Award winning golf course architect Tony Cashmore formed Cashmore Golf Design (CGD) in Australia over 30 years ago. With a deep passion for golf, and enjoying a successful international career as an architect , Tony saw a need for professionally-designed golf courses which respect site values, in answering the growth in residential golf course estates and resort projects being developed at the time. The success of Tony's early projects led to engagements from many private Clubs and owners of pay-for-play golf venues to undertake revisions to their courses and clubhouses, often amounting to full masterplanning and extensions to existing golf terrains and buildings.
Today, CGD has successfully designed and/or redesigned over 40 courses and has assisted a further 30 odd Clubs and public golf operators with small-scale improvements to the venues. Many of the major projects involve integrating fine golf courses safely into residential or resort contexts which have proven to be financially rewarding for the owners, and rated among the top venues in the country.
The CGD group has the experience and expertise to advise in all aspects of golf development, and enjoys high success rates in undertaking total site planning as well as achieving approvals for integrated golf developments. This proven ability saves clients significant time and expense in pursuing a financially prudent project.
